Our client, a major manufacturing of protective and safety products are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager for their site in Skelmersdale.

Reporting to the Operations Director you will have responsibility to manage the conversion of high level S&OP plans into purchased supply plans and to co-ordinate a diverse product family based production facility via detailed capacity and production planning modules in SAP.

Key management metrics will include

•S&OP adherence
•Vendor rating scales and management
•Capacity planning internal/external
•Scheduling and S.A measurement internal external
•Turns (by commodity, by product)
•ATP (supplier and customer)
•Establishment and management of strategic subassemblies
•Supplier relationships
•Flexibility/Reliability measures
•Lead Time accuracy and reduction
•System Accuracy, SSs, L/Ts, ROPs, Lot sizes, EOQs
•EOL management

The Candidate,

The ideal candidate for this role will have an extensive knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP. The candidate will also require management credential and previous experience of both the Purchase and Production Scheduling of a complex range of products.

Duties

Translate S&OP load from demand models and generate scenarios to enable management recommendations.

Manage the construction of supply plans from the S&OP process.

Identify long term supply and capacity constraints

Take responsibility of finished goods inventory, stock turns, ROPs, Safety Stocks levels, Min Max Lots etc.

Assess and present supplier delivery performance (internal & external)

Take logistical lead for NPD & EOL strategies.

Carryout any other reasonable business duties.
